A fight over a silver bullion
My grandfather, who is now 101 years old, is a collector. Among many strange things he owns, there is an old silver bullion bar in his wooden box. He always says this is a very old bullion that was won over in a fight by his grandfather Jack in Montana. I always laugh at his stories but who knows, maybe there is some deal of truth in them? Well, he says his grandfather got it into a gunfight with the Sheriff of Sidewinder County in 1872. The sheriff was a local oppressor, terrifying to all inhabitants and other authorities alike. The fight was very quick: the sheriff fired his gun five times, but as he was a short-sighted person, he didnt kill his opponent. Then Jack threatened to kill him, but didnt fire his gun. Instead, he told the sheriff to leave the county and never come back. It is important to mention that our great-great-grandfather was a tall, muscular man with excellent shooting skills. The sheriff was so scared that he disappeared immediately, and Jack was given a present from the local people: a large silver bullion bar. This whole story seems a bit far-fetched, and my grandfather tends to add a small detail here and there every time he retells it, but my kids and I love it and Im sure theyll be retelling it to their children, too.
